How skai came about, who is behind it and what we stand for.
Our story
The origin of skai goes back to the work of our CodeFabrik GmbH, founded in 2017, and our ten-person team. Our collaboration starts with a setup phase in which we build bridges into existing systems and structures.

Who is behind skai
skai is a product of CodeFabrik GmbH in Osnabrück, Germany, founded in 2017. The software is built, run and supported by this team. There is no foreign parent company and no third-party platform underneath: the company and its owners are based in Germany, and hosting runs in German data centres or on your own infrastructure.
The name skai is used elsewhere too, among others by an American marketing-tech vendor and by a similarly named assistant from another company. On these pages, skai always means the one built by CodeFabrik.
The product family covers the AI assistant for companies, skai verwaltung for public administration, the skai chatbot for websites and skai gremium for boards and associations. The developers’ company site is code-fabrik.com.
